When you need it
- A leak, burst pipe or appliance failure
- Water from a neighbouring apartment or the roof
- Sewage or drain backflow
Why it matters
Not all water is equal
Clean water from a pipe, grey water and sewage are handled differently. Contaminated porous materials are removed, not dried.
Time matters
The longer materials stay wet, the more has to be removed and the higher the mould risk.
Proof for the insurer
A drying log shows what was wet, how it was dried and when it was ready.
Our procedure
Stop the source
The leak is stopped by a plumber or the building's maintenance.
Classify the water
Clean, grey or contaminated. This decides what can be dried and what must be removed.
Extract and remove
Standing water extracted; contaminated or unsalvageable materials removed.
Map and dry
Moisture map at fixed points, drying equipment sized to the room and season.
Log and verify
Daily readings until target values, then sign-off for closing.
What a drying log looks like
Illustration of a daily drying log. Real logs use your measuring points and the target values for your materials.
Equipment

Questions
Is water damage your main business?
No. Fire damage is. But drying is a core part of every fire job, so we have the equipment and the method.
What happens with sewage water?
Porous materials touched by sewage are removed, and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before drying.
