When you need it
- Ceilings, insulation, boards or cabinets are charred or soaked
- Work must happen while the rest of the building is in use
- Neighbours, a stairwell or common areas must be protected
Why it matters
Demolition spreads soot
Breaking out burned material releases fine soot and dust. Without containment it ends up in clean rooms and other apartments.
Asbestos comes first
Older buildings can contain asbestos. Nothing is demolished before that question is answered.
Keep the evidence
Items the insurer may want to inspect are photographed and kept, not thrown in the skip.
Our procedure
Set three zones
Dirty, transition and clean zones, separated by poly zip-walls.
Negative air
HEPA air units exhaust filtered air outside, so air flows into the work zone and not out of it.
Decontamination
PPE is changed and tack mats are used at every exit.
Asbestos checked
Survey result or written confirmation before demolition. Asbestos removal only by licensed contractors.
Top-to-bottom removal
Unsalvageable ceilings, insulation, boards, cabinets and floor coverings come out from the top down.
Vacuum every cavity
Each opened cavity is HEPA-vacuumed straight away.
Waste out by one route
Waste is bagged where it is removed and leaves the building along one protected route.

Questions
Can people keep living in the rest of the building?
Usually yes. That is exactly what the zoning and negative air are for.
Do you remove asbestos?
No. Asbestos removal is done by licensed contractors. We make sure it is checked and handled before we demolish anything.
Where does the waste go?
Sorted and delivered to licensed waste handlers. You receive the disposal records.
